About Me
My love of design began when I was home with small children and my husband was often traveling for his work. I would rearrange all our furniture and try painting techniques on the walls. He never knew what to expect when he returned home!
I met a friend who shared the same interests and we began a decorating business together. We worked with a variety of clients and did everything from one-day room makeovers to multi-room decorating projects. After several years, life took a few turns and we both needed to focus elsewhere. I enjoyed renovating our home, helping friends with their decorating decisions, and designing a home at the beach during this time.
I happened upon Maria Killam’s Color confidence workshop and being certified as a True Color Expert reawakened my desire to help design spaces for other people. I wanted to expand my knowledge and skill, so I enrolled in the interior design program at the New York Institute of Art and Design.
My personal style is casual, elegant, and comfortable. I gravitate towards transitional style, mixing classic and more modern pieces. I love creating spaces that are inviting, beautiful, and relaxing.
I live in Birmingham, Alabama and am blessed to have been married to my husband, Chris, for 35 years. We have two sons, a daughter-in-law, and the world’s most awesome grandson, Oliver. Our two labs, Annie and Belle, keep us company and remind us that design has to be functional as well as beautiful! My favorite place is on the beach at sunset with a glass of wine.
Every design I create is personal to each of my clients to reflect their lifestyle, preferences, and the atmosphere they want to experience. I would love to work with you to create the space you’ve always dreamed of!
